Non-turn based rpg's?

Gotta second dungeon world. It's amazing. One of the really cool things about it is that monsters don't have "levels" instead the fiction describes how tough a monster is.

Exalted 2nd Edition. In brief: initiative (they call it "join battle) is rolled yielding a 0 to 6. Subtract what you rolled from 6 to get your starting tick, so rolling a 6, becomes a 0, meaning you go first. On your tick you take an action. that action has a speed from 4 (fast) to 6 (slow). When you finish your action, add the speed to your tick count to see when you go next.

The Battle Wheel was developed as a way to keep track of who is next. I think it's terrible. It's much easier to simply write down when your next action tick is, and the ST counts up the clock.
