Noncombat Encounters

First Post
Hi folks. First post here. I haven't watched the forums much, so I apologize if this has come up already. I couldn't find a forum search...

Now that the character sheet info is out, and I've had time to mull them over, I'm a little curious about the tools the game is going give players for non-combat encounters. The skills seem to be covering all the same points, but the spell casters are worrisome. I don't seem room for all those spells that did squat in combat, but came out useful in your other encounters. Off the top of my head, I'm thinking of spells like Speak with Dead, Sending, Stone Shape (take THAT! stupid Dwarven doors...), Dream, or even the ever-silly Leomand's Tiny Hut.

Is there some info I've missed? Perhaps some one here has some insight?

In theory those would all be rituals, which you'd need to learn somehow or other, and spend time and/or money and/or components in order to do, but don't require wasted powers.

To expand on what Keterys said. We don't know a lot about riuals yet except that they will be "out of combat" spells with likely lengthy casting times. They will have no maximum number allowed to know. They will be tradeable and writeable just like spells in the current game.

Welcome!

Perhaps it would help to mention that it seems likely everyone gets a "utility" power at level 2, and probably at an unknown frequency after that. I think we saw a Tumble power in the Rogue write up, for example. Stone Shape might be a higher level utility power, for example.
