Pathfinder 1E Noob needing help with lvl 6 Ranger

First Post
Hello everyone!
I've lurked on here before when looking for answers to a question and this one is pretty specific, so I thought I'd join :)

Okay so I was asked to make a lvl 6 character for a one shot we are having tomorrow. Problem is that I've only ever been in 2 campaigns (got to level 4 in the first and still in the other one at level 4).
I'm doing the Two-Weapon Fighting instead of Archery (which I did before).
I have:

  • [*=1]Orc, level 6 Ranger
    [*=1]Two Weapon Fighting
    [*=1]Improved Two Weapon Fighting
    [*=1]BAB: +6/+1

Do I:

Roll a d20 for each weapon. -4/-4 penalty
Roll 1d8 + 6BAB + 5 STR - Main Hand
Roll 1d8 + 6BAB + 3? STR - Off Hand

Roll a d20 for each weapon. -?/-? penalty
Roll 1d8 + 1BAB + ?STR - Main Hand
Roll 1d8 + 1BAB + ?STR - Off Hand

I feel very lame, but you guys all seem to know what you're doing. :)
Please let me know if you need more information. <3

Edit: Here are my full stats

Full Stats
STR - 18 + 2(Orc) = 5
DEX - 15 = 2
CON - 14 = 2
INT - 15 = 2
WIS - 12 = 1
CHA - 14 = 2

I think I've got it to this:
d20 + 6BAB + 5STR to hit (-4 on Main and Off hand)
1d8 + 5STR Main Hand, 1d8 + 2STR (half STR bonus) for Off Hand?

What then happens to the second attack set?
It would be -5/-5 and +1 BAB...?

Your attack sequence will be:
1st Attack (Primary) +7 (+6 BAB / +5 STR / -4 TWF) 1d8+5 damage
2nd Attack (Off-Hand) +7 (+6 BAB / +5 STR / -4 TWF) 1d8 +2 damage
3rd Attack (Primary) +2 (+1 BAB / +5 STR / -4 TWF / -5 Second Attack) 1d8 +5 damage

Your off hand always gives you one extra attack until you get advanced TWF feats that increase that number. The TWF Feat reduced the penalties.

As a muscular Orc, is there a reason your doing the TWF thing? I played a strong character who went that route and regretted it because he did SO much more damage with a two-handed weapon because it gives the bonus 1.5 multiplier to the damage. So you would be doing 1d8+7 with two swings, but your chance of hitting is greatly increased. Just because you specialize in a fighting style (Ranged vs. TWF) doesn't mean it has to be your primary attack routine. I recommend still taking the Ranged Combat Style and use it with thrown weapons and a bow...the feats are free so you are not losing anything. :-)

Figured it out like this:

Two Weapon Fighting:
Battleaxe +8/+3 (1d8+5), Battleaxe +8/+3 (1d8+2)

One Weapon:
Battleaxe +12 (1d8+5)

(Added Weapon Focus, stuck to 2 battle axes)

I might change it up, but I'm just interested to see the dual wielding thing :)

Your right...I missed the Improved TWF Feat from your Combat Style on your first post (oops). Good choice choosing the same weapon and adding WF. I always recommend carrying other weapon "Types" so that you are covered with Slashing, Piercing, and Bludgeoning. Even if they are lower damage bases, having a creature with DR against you SUCKS! LOL

Two Weapon Fighting:

You still might want to consider going with a light weapon in the off-hand. By going with a hand axe, you give up an average of only 1 point of damage per hit (expected value of d6 = 3.5 compared to expected value of d8 = 4.5) and gain an additional +1 to hit with it and +2 to hit with your primary.

Battleaxe +10/+5 (1d8+5), Handaxe +9/+4 (1d6+2)
