North Carolina Game Day IV: May 8

Ok, folks, I'm bootstrapping myself out of this little funk I've been in the last few days. I just posted my Sky Galleons Game to the NC Game Day website (it rapidly met with the approval of one of the admins over there ;) ). If you are interested in some high adventure gaming for the morning slot and care to try out my d20 "not so Modern" game, feel free to join up.

The morning is getting really full (4 games), but the afternoon still only has one game. Not good... :\

I'd like to run something, but I just don't have the time right now to prepare anything. :(

I think this problem will correct itself. Somebody will come up with something to run in the PM. With guys like Jeph and Henry on site, games of some sort will start to pop out of the woodwork sooner or later.

If I may be so bold, CL, there seemed to be pretty good response when I mentioned running a conversion of an adventure from an earlier edition or running an earlier edition game. You wouldn't need to prepare much of anything if you decided to run a slice of, say, Keep on the Borderlands or something like that...

Seriously, if in the next few weeks I don't see any games open up, I may offer one myself - let's see how the attendence goes, too, because the afternoon attentdence may not be very good from what I've seen, but I hope I'm wrong.

By the way, did all of the people from my game get their e-mails today?

I'll think on that. I could probably fumble my way through one of the old 1e tournament adventures that I ran over and over in middle school.

I just wanted to say that I'll be adding another D20Modern game to the list soon. It'll be a modern conspiracy/occult scenario, because it seemed that was something there'd be interest in (and because the other D20Modern games were filling up fast.)

edit: Oh, heck with it. Scheduled for the afternoon slot. Here's the blurb:
"Comfort Zone"

You've pulled off I-40 to get some gas, or a bite to eat. You yawn and stretch, then walk inside. Then a shot rings out, the lights flicker... and you've suddenly got a lot more on your mind than the long drive home.

The game takes place in a truck stop in eastern North Carolina one afternoon/evening in 2004. Inspirations include the novels of Tim Powers, the comics Hellblazer and Planetary, and the roleplaying games Unknown Armies and Orpheus.

See, CL? We just got another three potential games for the afternoon in what? Half an hour? And you were worried... ;)

This crowd is all about some fun and have been since the first NC Game Day. If there is any gap in the schedule, somebody will manufacture some fun and stick it in there. :D

I'm willing to run my game twice if we need more games, or I can run a repeat of the game I ran at NC Game Day II. I could also run a varient of the first game I had in my campaign *points to the story hour*.

However this assumes there's demand for a Planescape game ;) (At the moment I have 5 people signed up, though only 1 of them has done so on the ncgameday webpage). I get 6 people or more I'll split them into 2 games and ask for an afternoon/evening session as well as the current morning one.

*anxious to run once again*
