Northern California Game Day (Any DMs out there?)

I haven't gotten back to talk to the manager personally yet.
I'll do that tomorrow or the next day.

Questions:
1) How many people (approximately) are we looking at here?
2) What time should I tell Robert that he should plan on running the demo?
Realistically and if we were smart, we should probably offer to the manager of Great Escape the demo period for Monster Island, and ask him when a good time to run it would be.
3) I have quite a few board games, from light and fun (Buffy tVS board game) to strategic (Titan, Dungeonquest, Block Mania, Lord of the Rings, etc), if it looks like we'll have more players than DM's for a time.

Mike has informed me that he will definitely not make it. I tell you guys, if I ran 3e (I have, but I don't like it), I'd be tempted to run this Temple of Pazuzu. It's just different enough to look real interesting. How often do you get to run in the tropics with bloodthirsty and superstitious savages?

C'mon, somebody give HackJoe a chance to play! Volunteer to run our other evening table. Volunter now! I insist. Really. ;)

Say, I've been pondering this, and I don't think I'm going to be able to make it.

...

...

...

Nah, I'm just kidding. :p

But I have been pondering, and bloodymage, why don't you send the Temple of Pazuzu over to Northcalgameday@yahoo.com

I'll take a look at it, and, if I like it (which I probably will), I'll run it as the fourth DM.

To tell you the truth, I like DMing more than Playing, anyways.

Tsunami, if you have a free yahoo account, I believe the largest file you can receive is 3 megs. The Temple, zipped, is just under 3.5 megs. Got another account that can handle it? If need be, I can cut it in half and send it to you in two pieces.

bloodymage, I just found this thread (don't ask how, I forgot to put down bread crumbs...), and I may be able to GM. Is there a summary of the event yet(date, place, time, etc.)?

We met at KublaCon - my son and I were in the final round HM tournament.

loball, that's great! Would you be willing to run a D&D game?

The day is scheduled August 2nd, at Great Escape Games, Sacramento.

Folks, I'm going to delay sign-ups until we get a yes/no from loball.

So, loball, would you be willing to run the Temple of Pazuzu? If so, terrific. If you have another choice, just as terrific.

And, at the very least, I can run it.

Ah yes! I remember you two and you were both great to run as players. We had a lot of fun in that tourney. Like tsunami asked, are you willing and able to run the evening d20 session? You two can join me as a player in the afternoon HM session and maybe your son would like to sign up in my evening OAD&D game. Anyway you want to play it, it would be great to see you guys again.

OK, I've checked with my Personal Event Coordinator (my wife), and I have confirmed that I will be able to make it the 2nd, and yes, I will run the D20 session in the evening.

Bloodymage, I would love to play in your HM game earlier in the day.

Also, my two boys will probably be interested in joining me, BUT, one is 14, the other 10. The 14 year old is mature enough to play with adults (I think bloodymage will attest to that - he was in the same tournament at KublaCon). The 10 year old is a gamer, and pretty sophisticated for his age, but I don't want to make anyone unconfortable. Also, he is capable of playing Mage Knight (I think - we both have some of the earlier figs), as well as card games.

I know this can be a sensitive subject, that people have a lot of thoughts on, but I need to get people's honest opinion on it before I decide if he'll be there.

Hooray! A fourth DM!

Thank you, loball! We really appreciate it!

Personally, I'm fine with a 10 year old at the gaming table.

However, I am 16, and I often babysit, so I'm used to it.

Folks, sign-ups will start Tuesday the 22nd. I will start a new thread to have sign-ups in, just because this one has become cluttered.
