Northern California Game Day (Any DMs out there?)

Sign-ups will start soon after Talinthas posts a yes/no... I'd like everyone to have an equal chance for everyone to play.

But yup, we should get the names of those who can make it who aren't on the boards.

Talinthas, who in your group can make it?

Also, anyone else planning on bringing along others: How many?

OK, I contacted my friend, and he's willing/interested in running a demo of Monster Island. He'll have the big box o'goodies they used to set up at DunDracon recently.

Robert's the co-writer of the latest expansion for Monster Island.

It's a fun battle of the monsters game played with large toys.
Is anyone interested in playing? It doesn't take but less than 30 minutes per contest.

When do you think the best time to schedule it would be? When might some time-coverage that includes some light-hearted gaming be the best?

Grant couldn't show up on our game night due to work, so I haven't asked him about Pazuzu. I'll shoot him an e-mail and see if he can get off and wants to take it on.

OK, Grant is still working on getting the day off. He also surprised me by saying he's never run a tabletop game! It turns out he's also never run 3e.

MiketheGnome, our family man, originally declined to participate, but in talking with him yesterday, I cleared up some misconceptions he had. He's a possible and I just asked him to run the evening game.

HackJoe has already said he will run two games, if needed, but I don't want him taken advantage of. He should get some play time too.

I'm afraid we'll jack up the scheduling if we don't have two evening tables. We'll have, say, 12-16 players in the afternoon and no room for half of them in the evening. Sure, the time could be filled with the short games, but I suspect there are others like me who are only interested in RP.

I'm still a bit miffed that virtually all the GMs have to come out of my group. I tried to hold out and play all day, but playing half the time is cool for me. What's so hard about getting one of you to step up and GM for half the day?

That's okay, Talinthas, I know how it can be. But thanks for helping out with organizing so far!

If any of your friends still want to come, just tell them to pop onto the boards and say "Hi!"

Bloodymage- I figure, if we have three games, we have three games, and the rest of us will just play other games. It's okay. I can help organize the miniatures and board games for a "fourth game."

And tell HackJoe that we greatly appreciate him GM'ing, and same with you, Bloodymage.

If we don't have a DM by Saturday, let's just start sign-ups with what we have so far.

Remember- this is only the first Northern California Game Day- it's great that we even have three games to play!

So if we don't get a fourth DM, what games can people bring?

So far, we've got Monster Island, Heroclix, and I've got a bunch of Cheapass Games, including "Kill Dr. Lucky," "Bitin' Off Heads," "Before I Kill You, Mr. Bond," and "The Great Brain Robbery."

Does anyone have any other games they'd like to bring along?

By the way, Reapersaurus, have you talked with the Great Escape Games guys yet? If not, when you have some free time, now would probably be a good time to talk with them. I figure we'll need two or three tables, right?
