Right now, we're planning out our release schedule for the rest of 2005. If you have any suggestions of things you'd like to see, don't hesitate to let us know!
As
Northern Crown line developer, I second Gareth's request for things you'd like to see to support the game, although I suppose you will know more clearly
after you all see what's in the two books coming out in August. I know what's on
my wish list, and Gareth and I are already discussing it.
One thing you will definitely see in the coming months: adventures, adventures, and adventures. How many cool campaign settings have died on the vine for lack of them? Some of my fave settings, such as
For Faerie, Queen & Country, many, many GURPS books, or any of the TSR 2nd Edition historical sourcebooks, became far less accessible for me as a GM because there weren't any published adventures available for them. Having a free adventure to download and play by the time the books are released in August is my top priority.
Thanks to everyone on this thread who has expressed excitement/hope/support for
Northern Crown. This would be as good a time as any to mention that the level of creative freedom I've had working with John and Michelle Nephew (now augmented by Gareth!) has really been a game designer's dream. It has been a three-year journey getting these books to press -- the whole thing had to be updated to 3.5e at one point -- and how ever much
you're looking forward to them, I doubt it matches my own level of anticipation.
