It's hard to tell from those cryptic answers, but it sounds like the WotC guys don't consider the Codemonkey things official or even good solutions. That's kinda disappointing.

Most interesting line: "Part of that is there's a sort of inherent backstory (rules, magic items, Githyanki - not necessarily Forgotten Realms and Eberron), no matter what campaign setting you use (many DM's use their own settings)... find a common ground for all the settings."

It's nice to see a bone thrown to the homebrewers once in awhile.

I've been concerned about the lack of any recent SRD updates. Hopefully we'll be seeing more.

Nice to hear the SRD has not been fully forgotten. But after that long, will they still remember where to put the updates?

A: Some of that, but some spells we decided to leave out (like Wujen), because we have other things planned for that
