"No, yes, maybe," says Keldar. "If Galwynn says there's something odd about a fireplace in a tower filled with fire elementals, then I'm not going to take the chance he's imagining things. Especially not when Tommy agrees with him."
Tommy quickly lays several loops of rope in a circle around the growing lump of stone, leaving at least 10' on both ends, meanwhile explaining to Tarag. "I hope that when this thing emerges, if it really is an earth elemental coming here and not just a lump of funny looking rock, that it will have some kind of legs. I'm hoping both legs will emerge within the loops. Then we pull both ends of rope so that they tighten around the legs, and when it goes to thump Galwynn again it falls over and we pound it before it can get up. Even if just one leg is caught, I'm hoping we'll at least be able to try to pull it off balance."
ooc: Not sure if it's relevant, since Tommy's not tying any knots, but here's a Use Rope check: 1d20+2=13
Tarag nods in understanding and then looks at Tommy keenly before saying, "No offence, lad, but wouldn't it be better if someone else with a bit more muscle took the other end of the rope? I'd hate to have it pull you over as well."
