I do sometimes have problems with pages hanging before they load completely, but refreshing my browser generally takes care of it. I seem to recall Thomas Heretic saying it was some kind of glitch with the VB software, or maybe with one of the enhancements he has installed. I could be misremembering though.

Anyway, try hitting Refresh when you have this problem, and see if that helps.

Oh, and the server is in Kansas.

I post there all the time nad it works fine. I find the speed actualy better than EN World. I am thinking it is an issue on your end or your ISP's. Or else you have such bad luck in timing you only go there when there is a technical issue.

My bad then. Wasn't it in Florida at some point?
Almost. Earlier this year Nothingland was supposed to join EN World on Cyberstreet, but the plans changed and now (thanks to some very generous donations) NTL's on its very own server in Kansas.

Well, it often does, but when I'm already waiting two or three minutes, have a blank page load up, hit Refresh, wait another two or three minutes, and occasionally have to repeat that two or three more times just to view every single page on the forums, naturally it's a bit of a hardship to continue trying to post, or even read.

Too bad; I was looking forward to what PWD had to say about "getting me to admit I wore women's panties" over here.

Have you tried accessing it through a different ISP? Have you called your ISP to ask them if there's a problem accessing that domain? Often times problems like this can be blamed on the ISPs DNS servers.

My work and home ISPs are not the same already.

True, but they may be coming in on over the same lines. My cable at home comes in over AT&T's lines while the lines at work are Qwest's lines.

Also, you should try running a tracert. There might be a weak link somewhere between you and Nothingland's server, and this should reveal whose network the trouble is in.
