[Nov] What Are You Playing?

Heyyy! I'm not the only one! Most games make me motion sick. It's really sad because there's a TON out there that I'm dying to play, but I know that if I do, it'll be a huge mistake. And for me it's not just 3D games, but games with a lot of camera angle changes. :( It's been suggested that I take Dramamine or something similar to help combat that, but 1) I don't like taking pills (especially for something that trivial) and 2) most of the time taking things doesn't help me anyway.

Heh, I totally feel like it's cheating, but thanks for the link! I'll check it out . . . :)

It's not cheating if you already did it, and your playing for entertainment and fun, and if using a faq helps with that then so be it.

For a long time I had never met anyone with this problem and then I met a couple of people at once who suffered from severe motion sickness and will actually throw up if theylook at any 3d game too long. Which is particularly bad for the one guy, because his son will ask him for help with games, but he can't because of how sick he'll get.

Medicine for motion sickness works, but I doubt gaming is important enough to take medicine for.

I would tend to agree. :( Guess I'll just have to miss out on some games.

As for the "cheating," it's a good point, if I already covered that territory. Hm, now I want to go play BG. :D Thanks, again!

no problem.

I'd say the generel feeel, outside of combat, of course.

Thought of this later, but I've always considered rather ancillary to the Ultima experience and I’m firmly convinced a number of them could be beaten without ever raising your level, if such a thing were avoidable.

I spent most of this month playing Marvel: Ultimate Alliance on the Xbox 360. It's such a fun beat 'em up game and wanting to unlock everything has kept me coming back to it.

Of course that was before I bought Gears of War. Now, I spend whatever gaming time I have playing that. I can't wait to play some Gears co-op with my brother over Thanksgiving.

But I do have plans to come back to MUA before too long and finally finish all those training simulator missions and get the last of the costumes.

Oddly enough, nothing on PC has really caught my attention. Maybe after NWN2 receives some more polish I'll give it a try.

Finished NWN2. Good game overall, but the intermittent railroading got a bit on my nerves.

Starting Splinter Cell: Double Agent. I've seen some horrible things about the PC version, so I'll soon seen what the fuss is all about.

And Eve Online, always. (Revelations Chapter I, the new free expansion, is being deployed today).
