I can't tell - the exterior looks like it's from full pieces of wood, and the interior is mostly covered by the contents (including a nice picture in the top). You should be able to see in the picture the grain on the top of the box. It might be a veneer, but I can't make out enough of the interior.
The dice are nice - red gem dice with differing patterns framing the number depending on the type of die.
The booklets have thinner cardboard covers than my copies of the originals (yes, I have them), but the interiors are very clear and nicely laid out; some errors in formatting have been fixed, but I've noticed one or two errors in the originals that have persisted (such as a reference to "eleven fighter/magic-users" in Greyhawk instead of "elven").
