The Amazing Magic-Free Ranger! That's right! Here for the first. . .

Eh, never mind. :)

Anyone got a solid replacement for the spellcasting of Rangers in Pathfinder? Just the casting, nothing else.

Alternatively, though this is not quite to my tastes but rather a matter of simple curiosity, has anyone made Wisdom for your standard issue Ranger a bit more significant, a la the Paladin and their full suite of Charisma-ey goodness?

So yeah, in particular the first, but if you feel like it, the second too. Looking forward to hearing your ideas.

There was a magic-less ranger in Kobold Quarterly #11. It made up for the lack of spells with some additional class abilities, such as a sneak attack that only worked on favored terrain or against favored enemies, greater use of the Heal skill, and talents (like a rogue).

What, no more Rangers?!

My, how times have changed.

Well OK, that or people are just using (updated versions of?) one of a googleplex alt.Rangers from the 3e era.

Fantasy Flight Games has a book called Planes & Portals that Mearls wrote. It has a magic free ranger in it if I remember correctly.
