NWN Henchmen

Azure Trance

First Post
So I just started playing it, and finally came into a situation where I realized that I'm only lmited to one Henchman. My only question is, why did Bioware decide to implement this ... uh ... feature?

I don't see people praising it. Is it to make your one main character more focused, or something? Extremely good game otherwise, but just wondering if anybody could give me insight on this problem. :/

(I know there are cracks but from what I've read they suffer more bugs then I would be comfortable with)

Aaaand I know this is a horrible, horrible, thing to say, but I'm going to start up a modded-Arcanum to play in the meantime. There's a crack to get eight henchmen ;D

Plus I never actually beat the game. I always kept making new character concepts about 1/4 the way in. Me and my scattermind ...

You don't need the henchmen, and the henchman AI code requires a lot of memory (it's a lot more complicated than the enemy AI).

Geoff.

Oh. Technical reasons.

While it's true I don't need the henchmen, it's just simpler if you have a thief to watch for traps or a wizard for backup, etc. My fighter's a one-man army and it's just a little lonely.
