So the game has been out for a while. What does everyone think?

Personally I think its pretty good but the level requirement for using magic items really pisses me off. It pisses me off even more since I found all the material to create an augmented magic sword at level 6 and the damn game won't let me wield it until I hit level 8.

Yeah, had the same problem with one of the Henchmen items... had been wearing it for a few levels, then my henchman upgraded it, and I had to wait two levels to use it.

The thing is, some of the modules on the net are realy nice, and I think it has excellent replay value because of that... I'd still would have preferred a "BG 3" kind of thing with the new engine though, and an actual party with semi deep personalities.

*psst!* Should be software forum

I like it. I recently just reinstalled it after completing it around 3 months ago, and ran through an internet module that I thouroughly enjoyed.

Another item that irritates me. I am currently running a fighter ranger who specializes in melee combat.

This works well EXCEPT for how combat is running in the game. The back and forth along with the latteral movement the melee fighters always do results in my character quite often dancing himself right into a flanking position when he would be quite safe if he just stayed where the hell I put him when the fight started.

BY the way. Thanks a lot to whoever moved my thread.

You have nicely gaurunteed that my thread will be lucky to get 10% of the responces it would have had before.

I am not talking about the game FORMAT (IE electronic vs pen and paper).

I am talking about the implemented game rules and the campaign itself. Both items that mean nothing vs the digital format.

But thanks again for nothing.

You can use the keyboard (I think it might be the "a" and the "d", or it might be the "q" and the "e") to move your character in a fps "strafing" kinda way.

The irritation is from the default setting of pointless dancing around that puts your character into a bad position.

For the record, item level requirements can be turned off.

And all posts on games and electronic aids are supposed be in the Software Forum, no use in bemoaning the fact.

I wish I could say something about the shifting in combat, but unfortunately I've been victim to many a sneak attack because of it as well. I just usually try to control my character as best I can so they don't start weaving.
