What would the DR of a Nymph Vampire be?

Nymph - DR 10/Cold Iron
Vampire - DR 10/Silver & Magic

DR 10/Cold Iron silvered magic???

Wow, you're right!

Actually, a nymph vampire is a great idea. I've used a half-fiend nymph in the past, but this is even better. Hmmm, half-fiend nymph vampire... with some druid levels.... ;)

Yea, my nymph already has 4 druid levels, and I made them to stack with her 7 levels of inate druid levels, so she's effectively a nymph Drd11/Vampire.

Thought about adding some other templates, but I figured that would just be wrong. :)

Given the +4 Charisma, her blindness ability becomes really potent. :)

There is a slight problem with the druid stuff, but it is easily surmountable. Druids can't be Chaotic evil, and Nymph's are "usually chaotic good". So, initially, I had her alignment as CG, and then changed it to CE to reflect her as a vampire, but then that would have her lose her Druid abilities, since it's not a valid alignment to a druid. (Why, I have no idea, but them's the rules). So, I changed her original alignment to NG, and then changed her vampire alignment to NE, which is allowed. Odd. I don't really understand why they allow NE druids, but not CE druids, when they do allow CN druids. *boggles* I mean, they can be chaotic *or* evil, but not chaotic *and* evil.

Yep, that's it. For nonepic characters, it's just like DR 10/--. Epic characters can get around this DR with Penetrate Damage Reduction.

I'd go with the vampire's DR by itself--silver and magic. I think becoming undead would sever the ties with nature that provide the cold iron DR. I mean, once you're undead, well, you're undead.

That's only fair, ;)

Although she sounds like she might need BoVD's corrupted template... perhaps?

Yep, this was one of many reasons I started drooling when I saw your post....

I must admit I ignore alignments as written in the MM when it suits me.

As for the druid's alignment, I think it should be within one step of the patron deity chosen just like a cleric.

BTW, have you noticed how powerful druids are in 3.5E?

How can a weapon be both Silver and Cold Iron at the same? Is there a rule for multi-material crafted weapons?

I would simply make DR 10/Magic & (Silver OR Cold Iron) or otherwise DR 10/(Magic & Silver) OR Cold Iron.

Probably not, but there's a spell around here that has the effect of "silvering" a weapon for a while. Can't seem to find it at the moment, but I'm certain there is one. Probably in Relics & Rituals. It sounds exactly like something Tanil would create. Considering that she created a spell that "Painfully forces shapeshifters to resume their proper forms" I would say there's also one for creating a bit of silver as well.

Anyway, once the Nymph becomes a vampire all you really need is one Paladin with Bless Weapon to hack her to pieces or a Cleric to Turn her to dust. Personally I have always thought that undead are rather frail, and not worth creating for anything other than sword fodder. Of course there are exceptions...

The Nymph's a fey, and the vampire template can only be added to humanoid or monstrous humanoid creatures.

Of course a Nymph vampire means trouble rule-wise ;)

That said, I'd go for DR 10/silver and magic.
