OA and range

Is there ways to OA at range? My ranger says there must be, but I couldn't think of one, other than a power of some kind.

That said, there may be feats and or powers that would allow OA like effects at range... but I don't recall any off the top of my head.

There's a ranger paragon path in Martial Power that lets you make ranged OAs.

The only way to use opportunity actions at range is to have a power that permits it.

Given that the only two triggers for opportunity attacks without a power or feat are 'leave a space adjacent to an enemy' and 'use a ranged or area attack adjacent to an enemy', there's really not a lot of range involved.

Of course, Polearm Gamble adds 'enters a space adjacent to you' as well.

Ranged rangers are concerned with OAs in that they are subject to OAs, not an inflictor of OAs.

In MP (p. 67) there is a PP called Sharpshooter that allows you to make OAs at range.

No, it's minions, assuming the attack is an OA as Evilhalfling says and not an immediate action (I don't have MP handy to check).

You can take one immediate action per round. You can take one opportunity action per opponent's turn. If five minions close on you in one round, you get 5 OAs.

You are correct sir.

In addition, a correction to my first post in this thread: the sharpshooter paragon path allows you to make OAs with a ranged weapon, but does not alter the circumstances that provoke OAs, so you still have to be adjacent to the target to make an OA with a ranged weapon.
