Once again, thanks for all the kind words. ;-)

Oathbound represents a huge effort on our part to bring out a world that can be dropped into any campaign setting (ala Planescape, Ravenloft, and a few others) while still having the legs to be a dynamic campaign setting in its own right.

Much of the book was written by Greg Dent. Todd Morasch and I wrote small sections of the book and came up with a number of the concepts of how the world works, its secrets, etc. along with Greg.

The adventure (Dark Welcomes) was written by Brannon Hollingsworth and Ken Marable, and it takes up a 64-page chunk of the book. I thought it important to include an adventure in the core setting to give people a taste of how to build adventures in Oathbound. You'll see future Oathbound themed adventures (approximately one per month) delivered over the Bastion Press website.

The first adventure we'll release is Waters of Akaya. It will be a free download. We'll then follow up with new adventures, approximately one per month or so, that are closely tied to the Oathbound world.

A lot of my work with this project was as creative director (the same job I had for the D&D worlds, Alternity, and other products at Wizards/TSR). I'd steer the writers back into good gaming territory and offer advice on how to overcome obstacles.

Again, I'm looking forward to seeing some of you at Gen Con...

Again can't wait, save me a copy in case you have a literal ruch for them. Congrats on this great setting.

Hmm. We could make this a contest! But your copy of Oathbound so Hal can't get one!

I... want... this... book...

But since I'm poor and can't go to GenCon, I have to wait until September (at least... stores around here suck at getting RPG books on time when the rest of the world does...). This is gonna be a looong month. :)

Hmm... tempting. How many copies would I have to buy to deprive Hal of one? Then I could go into a side business selling copies of Oathbound to people on the black market (to everyone except Hal, that is).

Just kidding Hal. You know we like you. :D

PSSSTTTTT....I have an Oathbound here, if you sign this claim you are not buying it for Hal I can sell it to you, initial here and here. Ok, congrats it is yours. If we see Hal with one you may be beaten!

Well, I've just seen the actual PRINT copy of Oathbound and all I can say is WOWOWOWOWOW!!!!! :D

Get it, gang! You WILL NOT be sorry!!! :)
