I was fortunate enough to stop by the both and have a chat with Jim and Greg. Expect to see some notes put over into OgreCave after I translate what my Pocket PC recorded. Oathbound looks pretty sweet. Full color hardcover with lots of races and some intriguing mutation options.

Yea, the Prestige Races are very cool - some of the coolest stuff in the book, actually.... :)

Well, on second thought, I don't know - *everything* in the book is so darned cool..... :D

Yay!

I finally managed to find someone who was at the con, was able to buy me a copy, and could ship it to this cold, frozen land of Sweden. Go Renee!

Seems she even got it autographed, and with an accompanying map and stuff. Wheee!

It's a map of the Forge. I believe it's the same one from the book, just on it's own as a separate insert. They were giving one out with each book purchased (or at least giving them out as best as they could since it was pretty busy at their booth - I bought 3 books, but only got 2 maps, but I'm not complaining). :p

But every time I stopped by there were people there looking at it. Also, on several occassions while waiting for a seminar to start I'd overhear people talking about the book. So I have no idea what the actual sales were, but people were talking!

You couldn't leave well-enough alone, could you? Here I am, scooping up all of the material for Scarred Lands for my new campaign, and then you have to show me Oathbound. Not only is the layout beautiful and the concept interesting, but a number of my Planescape cronies have written material for it. Now I have to go buy a whole new campaign setting and find time to run it.

Thanks guys! =P [/end joke]
