Anyone else as excited by the prospect of 100% OGC as I am?

Any d20 publishers willing to divulge which of their rules we'll see in here?

I admit the 100% OGC label was an eye-opener.

WotC hasn't done that since -- well -- ever.

Even the PHB /DMG / MM are not 100% OGC. Of course, that could be a misnomer, but I hope not.

I may actually have to pick that one up, just for the "toolbox" side of me. I love playing with things that aren't broken.

Well, it mentioned that a few things would be PI. I suspect there are references to deities like Pelor, and stuff like that, that they would want to remain closed content.

This is also the first book that used material from other d20 sources. At least as far as I know.

I guess the MMII had two monsters in the back declared as OGC, but that's the only actual OGC from WoTC. Well, I guess there was some in a few Dragon magazines, I suppose. The SRD is kind of a different beast altogether.

I am.

I think it is a great idea, and was sort of disappointed that they drug their feet and never made good on some earlier promises of adding more material to the SRD. I am also disappointed that they chose to close off some creatures -- I mean I understand why, but in the end, the customer is harmed by it, because it will prevent the publication of mind flayer (and so on) associated adventures that WotC will never print because they aren't potential big sellers.

I hope they don't tell them. They aren't required to, and I think that the precedent that some authors are trying to set that it is "bad form" to use OGC without permission sort of defeats the point of the OGL.

Yup. Hugely interested. I've never purchased (for myself -- I've purchased plenty as gifsts) anything but the three core books and d20 Modern, but I might be getting this one.

Any new scoops/previews?

I love it so. frickin'. much.

This has skyrocketed past the 3.5e books in terms of stuff I REALLY need to buy.

WP/VP will be here...probably a Defense bonus by level....different magic systems (MP anyone?), maybe psionics stuff (though they'll probably save some of it for the revised PsiHB)....I'm looking forward to it. Really really.

Nope. I'm a consumer, not a publisher.

And I don't care to see these "rule variants" appear in other products since I probably won't be using these new rules... thus making the other products that much more difficult to use (and in the current environment of d20 glut, that equals a big "no-buy" from me).
