Obscure Iconic Names!!!

the animated version got the points across quite nicley as i recall. though you should read the book knightfall. it's short and easy to read. also cheaper then LOTR most places.

You're right jollyninja. I've always thought that I should read the book but haven't ever got around to it. Maybe one day. After all, I've got a whole bookshelf of books I haven't read yet.... Waterborn; The Dark Elf Trilogy; The Demon Awakens; Dragons of a Vanished Moon; books 5 to 7 of The Wheel of Time series; Wizard's First Rule; Stone of Tears; King's Dragon; The Kingless Land; I, Strahd; Legacy of Steel; etc.

This includes my copy of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, which I haven't even started yet. I know I'm going to have to catch up with my reading someday but right now, I write more than I read.

Ye gods lad! We're on the payroll, so we're as official as the rest of 'em!

Ye can find our names in the PsiHB somewhere, though yer askin' the wrong dwarf for page numberin'.

That's what I thought. Don't go primal on me Kaz. It's ok for me call ya Kaz, right? ;)

Don't forget me!

Ok, Meepo. You're added.

Question though, is Meepo really considered an Iconic character or is the little guy just so famous that we should note him as an honorary Iconic?

Also, I nominate the Defenders of Daybreak as honorary Iconic characters. All those in favor say Aye!

:D

Additional Iconics from official D&D adventures. The character must be well-known by a large section of EN Worlders. I think Meepo applies. Does Meepo have a class? (No, I don't have the adventure myself.)

Meepo - iconic kobold - Sunless Citadel

Not when that Bruce guy came by and wrote about me, but me got in touch with me dragon ancestors and gained some sorceror levels after those gobbos were so mean to Calcryx.

Me sure liked killing Yusdrail with my mighty dragon powers. Me bet Kurtulmak is being mean to her right now just like she was mean to Meepo.

Oh, yes, the evil guys... There is the necromancer Zeru in the Dungeons & Dragons Adventure Game box, and the wu jen/Eunuch Warlock from Oriental Adventures. He is mentioned in the Eunuch Warlock class description, and (presumably) illustrated on page 114.

As for Eulad, the pyrokineticist... She is illustrated and named on the first page of the Prestige Class chapter in Psionics Handbook.

Hmm... While I love Meepo, I'd deny him iconic status for only one reason- he's weaker than your average kobold. He's frailer, and not posessing of a MM kobold's stats.
