Obvious player things that modules often don't get

Reading the white plume mountain thing left me wondering, what are some very common player actions your group does that just doesn't get covered in many popular modules?

Fly.
Have darkvision.
Use True Sight.
Have a Heroes Feast for breakfast.
Scout. So many modules expect everyone to enter the room all at once...

Make use of wild shape for things other than just combat.

Make use of summoning spells in combat.

Rest in the friggin' dungeon.

And one thing that almost no published adventure ever seems to take into account, though on the part of the creatures: Warn the other creatures in the dungeon that they're under attack, instead of just charging straight into the fray.

Oh, it's incredibly easy for psions to use it. My Eberron nomad makes a habit of tossing an Extended Psionic True Seeing when it's warranted. 32 minutes is a long time when you're kicking in doors and fighting things, and being able to do it as needed is very handy, indeed.

Interrogate captives for info.
Interrogate random friendly NPCs for info. Or make them useful in whatever way comes to mind.

And everything already mentioned.

Oh, and set traps and other charming things up for enemies.

Man, lemme tell ya. What about:

Chop up all the wooden items in the dungeon and cart them around on the high STR packrat dwarf so that the expert can use carpentry to shut doors and create battlements with which to combat enemies within hallways.

That's obvious?

Of course. Improv dungeon carpentry.

Happens all the time.

Almost as often as on-the-spot stonemasonry. Don't even get me started on that.

:p

Actually, whenever I play a Cleric, I tend to use Stone Shape very frequently. I ended up using that a LOT in the WLD. :)
