D&D 5E [OCC] Against the Slavelords PBP

He hits for 10 damage (oh rolling is more dangerous I guess)... will post in IC and it is Levanna and Alegast can go and you can go again (as group you all go first and then he goes again). Evendur actions are after the other two...
The rest of the group that is outside can't hear this with passive perception but anyone who makes a Wisdom (Perception) check at a 20 or higher has a change to hear/see something...

Did you want to use Inspiration on the second roll? Sorry I missed that, you can and I will edit my post in the IC if you do

I did but it didn't help.

I've played under DMs in real life that have done this in two ways. In the first, I get to know what the attack roll result was before I cast Shield.The other wouldn't announce the result until after I had decided whether or not to cast Shield. Obviously, in the first, I wouldn't cast the spell if the attack was going to be over the modified AC and in the second there were times when I cast the spell and it didn't matter; the attack was enough to hit anyway and the slot was "wasted". How would you like to handle it here?

Hmm, I am fine with you announcing that you are going to do that and you don't need to wait around to find out if you are hit. If an attack roll would hit you and your Shield would stop it we can go ahead and assume that you use it. Otherwise it will be too slow for a PBP to wait around for me to roll and then you say "yes" or "no"
Also Tirion hear the commotion and if he (or anyone else) take the Dask action they will be within 60ft of the combat this round. Anyone who moves that far can use a bonus or reaction you can.
Just for the rest, Levanna moved 10ft and now 20ft away from Gathel Nightshadow and Evendur who are in melee combat, Alegast is 10ft from seeing the pair and then 20ft more if he wants to move forward he can make it as his base move.
Once all the players have acted it is Gathel's turn again...
