The Octi-Arm Master

The Octi-Arm Master idolizes the octopus for it's abilities of evasion, maneuverablility, versatility and with it's multiple arms can grasp its prey in an unbreakable crushing hold. The Octi-Arm Master trains and meditates on these principles to the point were he embodies many of the capabilities of a octopus.

preq: Any lawful, BAB +3, Improved Una and Grapple, Earth's Embrace, Combat Reflexes*/Lightning Reflexes*/Expertise*/ Mobility*/Evasion* (*just needs to have one), Escape Artist 8 ranks

lvl| Specials
1 |monk abilities
2 | Octi-arms set(1) Bonus feat
3 | Ink Cloud
4 | Bonus Feat
5 | Octi-arms set(2)
6 | Bonus Feat
7 | Blink of an Eye
8 | Octi-arms(3) Bonus Feat
9 | Octi-arm crush
10| Molten body Bonus Feat

same BAB and Saves as a first level monk to 10th

Specials:
Monk abilities: Same weapon proficiencies of monk class, same class skills and skill advancement of monk. To determine ac bonus, unarmed dmg, unarmed attacks and speed add Octi-Arm Master levels to monk levels and consult the table 3-10 in the phb. For example a 5th level monk with 5 levels of Octi-Arm Master would have a +2 ac bonus, d10 unarmed dmg, speed 60ft and have three unarmed attacks at +7/+4/+1

Octi-Arms: Each set works like another character trying to aid you in combat for disarm, trip, grapple and improved grapple attempts.(since they are extra limbs they could do 1/4th monk unarmed damage maybe only sub-dual but consider monks number of attacks and things might over power this pres-class)

Ink Cloud: Once per day an Octi-Arm Master can disperse a thick black cloud of dust/smoke like ink, as a free action once per day. This cloud has a 20ft diameter sphere projected from the Octi-Arm Master which lasts 1d4+1/Octi-Arm Master lvl combat rounds. It acts like a darkness spell but can not be seen through with darkvision and can not be dispelled or countered with a light spell. (a wind spell or something similar might counter it)

Blink of an Eye: Acts like Evasion unless the Octi-Arm Master already has Evasion, then it supersedes evasion and becomes Improved Evasion.

Octi-Arm Crush: Supersedes Earth's Embrace but works just like it except, causes tripple of normal unarmed damage.(Earth's Embrace is a feat out of Oriental Adventures, it reads "While grappling, if you pin your opponent, you critical damage(double normal unarmed damage) each round that you maintain the pin. You hold your opponent immobile, giving opponents(other thatn the one your pinning) a +4 bonus on attack rolls against you(but are not helpless).

Molten Body: The Octi-Arm Master's body can become fluid as water and can fit/crawl through any space no smaller then the Octi-Arm Master's eye ball. For each size category beyond the first that the Octi-Arm Master is larger than the space s/he is trying to move through, reduces movement speed in half. For example a medium monk will move through a tiny space at 1/2, diminutive 1/4, fine 1/8.

Bonus Feats: Any feats your DM would consider monk feats.--I am to lazy to list them 8>P--

--The x3 pin damage might be overpowered because a monk with empty hand mastery at 16th level does 12d6+x3 all other normal damage on a pin, I also added bonus feats instead of powers because I wanted this class to be versatile to allow for mastering trip, disarm or grappling feats. I think this prestige class is pretty reasonable, compaired to alot of ones I've seen posted on this site. Any suggestions about adding/subtracting powers, concerns about balance, or your own neat monk prestige classes just postem(plz no psionic monk classes, thxs)--

Then I added this feat because of the size category thing supremely limits the ability for grappling. And there are no other feats that add bonuses to grappling besides the epic wrestler feat and that's epic so there should be something before that.

Great Grappler

Preq: Improved Grapple, Clever Wrestling and BAB +3, +15 str.

Consider yourself one size category larger for all grappling checks(does not include the touch attack to first begin the grapple, in other words you would not suffer minuses to attack for being larger). See page 137 in the PHB for details on grappling.

--This feat might be kind of powerful but one of it's preq. is Clever Wrestling and since that feat pretty much blows I think it's balanced, I might also turn this into a mastery feat--

DAMN everything about this prestige class must be absolutely perfect or it's not so super over powered that people just don't care about writing any comments! If you have an opinion, good or bad, please write a comment.

Some one, ANYONE!

Could I get some feedback over here? pretty please

I designed this prestige class to be campaign specific but I am pretty sure it could be a nice addition to the monk's selection of prestige classes, so get out there and play test it! Tell me what you think! Thanks

I don't know Earth's Embrace, but this seems quite powerful due to the bonus feats... but then, I don't know whether other monk abilities go up or not (AC, speed)

Weird and quite nice flavour though.

ok, I believe I made the proper corrections to the original post.

The una. dmg, speed, ac bonus, exc. go up just like a normal monks would, just like the monk prestige classes in Oriental Adventures(I like to play monks and that books my bible 8o], also there is a monk prestige class in the OA that has five bonus feats, along with a bunch of other quazi magical abilities. I think bonus feats are important for a monk, because it allows for specialization of a style.
You might be saying but the fighter gets all the bonus feats! Well the fighter doesn't get screwed with a half breed BAB. I believe it is just as important for a monk to get bonus feats so one can specailize his/her monk to fit their specific image of a monk.
One can apperciate such an idea when considering the fact with the normal crappy phb rules, two 15th level monks from the great north, meet two from the far east and whatda yah know? Their exactly the same. . .boring!
Also I follow the OA rules for the oppertunity to dump stunning fist at first level, deflect arrows(this feat totaly sucks *****) at second and improved trip at sixth for bonus feats, and I don't mind following the OA for the purpose of letting monks freely multi-class(don't freek out, it's not that powerful, I've tried it many times and I always get a blah character), as long as proper character background can be provided.
Ok Hope I answered your questions and more, Thanks for your post Rav!
