I've been in retro-indsutrial mode lately; a lot of Chemlab, old Stabbing Westward and Ministry. Balanced by Collide and The Shroud for when I want to get my goth going on.

For the past two weeks or so all I've been listening to is Mindless Self Indulgence, KMFDM (playing in my town tomorrow night, woo!), and MC Chris.

If any of you know the "I Want Candy" song from Aqua Teen Hunger Force, MC Chris is the guy who does that song. His music's actually pretty good, and his new album is called "Dungeon Master of Ceremonies", so you gotta like the guy.

I have spent the past few weeks in GRR Martin's Westeros, courtesy of my Ipod and the Golden voice of Roy Dotrice.

Yes, this is my third time through listening to Song of Ice and Fire's audio books. But nothing really compares to these novels as read by Dotrice. Listening to these is like a vacation - I'm just not here anymore when I listen to these.

Am not looking forward to AFFC - which was not read/acted by Dotrice. Still very ticked off at Spectra for not arranging Dotrice to read that one.

I am trying so hard not to get an Mp3 player, but these PodCasts sound so good. I don't like listening at the computer and they generally won't fit on a CD.

I'm squeezing in a short audio book from the library, Shipwreck at the Bottom of the World: The Extraordinary True Story of Shackleton and the Endurance by Jennifer Armstrong.

Right now I am watching the video "The Kill" from 30 seconds to Mars. The video (and the song) are pretty freaking cool. I am a fan of the movie "The Shining", their incorporation of elements from the movie in the video is cool.
