Last night I started up a game of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas. It is quite fun so far.

Normally, I HATE first person shooters and yet I REALLY liked that game - probably because it was just as much strategy as it was FPS. (I have the PS3 version). Parts of it do feel repatative, but over all, great game. Also fun for a while online if you haven't done that already (but the people you party with make all the difference in your experience)

I have the PC version. I'm unable to play online at home as I don't have broadband. I think trying to play this on dial-up (if even possible) would send my temper over the edge.
