Oddest builds...

Here we go:

Rogue 2/Cleric 3/Wizard 1/Fighter 1/Human Paragon 2. (the Human Paragon spellcaster levels went to Wizard)

He plans to work in more Rogue/Fighter, and Mystic Theurge.

It's...not bad. Practiced Spellcaster helps, as well as some substitution things from UA here and there. Canny/lucky player though, so it works out. He's got a full Rogue cohort, and they get stuff done.

I also have a Warlock/Spirit Shaman/Eldritch Disciple, having ruled the Spirit Shaman Chastise can be used in leiu of Turn Undead to qualify for Eldritch Disciple. He's got good mojo, and the warlock/spirit shaman flavor is a really good mix (He's a spirit shaman whos spirits give him zappy rays!)

Not weird, but the other two are a Barbarian/Elemental Berserker (modified version from Planar Handbook, fire, of course) and a Monk/Drunken Master who is a diplomat by profession (has Profession(Diplomat), even!)

So, between 4 players I have 12 classes. :)

Have not had a chance to actually put the character into play, but I have been itching to play my Dwarf Lumberjack concept (Fighter/Ranger, with Strong Arm Combat style (from Dragon Magazine some time back) and specializing in Sundering Attacks)...

... OK the mechanics work out really well and logical, but the Race/Profession/Concept is the wonky part. Paul Grunyon and his animal companion Gabe the Brown Rothe (ox) wander the mountain forests of aspens, clear-cutting the slopes to fuel the furnaces of his clan's forges. ;)

One of the PCs in my Eberron game is an Urban Ranger 2/Rogue 2/Fighter 2/Dragonmark Heir 2/Dark Lantern 2/Blade of Orien 2. And this is AFTER he got a free rebuild in order to correct some long ingrained rule errors in his previous build (with all the same classes in different proportions).

I'm in a gestault game right now and am playing a succubus 3 | fighter 1/swordsage 1/battle dancer 1 weilding a Broadblade shortsword... planning on taking one more level of fighter, a level of marshal and then focus on sword sage and succubus for a while (eventually going into GR Crime Boss PrC). She's shaping up to be a very very dangerous opponent (specially after taking the Weapon Panache feat from GR assassin book... which means she adds that massive Cha to both AC and BAB...which, with a high tumble and the BB sword means she can fight defensively with no armor on in one of the humanoid forms that grants nat armor.....nasty)

I havent seen this one played, but one build/concept I found to be fairly amusing was the Supermount build on the WOTC CarOp boards.

I just find a character who's mostly a vehicle for his mount/animal companion funny.

For those who don't want to read the thread, the basic concept was the Halfling Outrider PRC which adds to both Paladin mount levels and druid/range Animal companion levels. Combine this with the Devoted Tracker feat from Complete adventurer which allows you to apply your Animal Companion boosts to your paladin mount. End result with some feats and other PRCs is a mount with some 20-25+ bonus HD and and a bunch of stat boosts.

My dream is to one day play a character who just keeps taking a new class at level 1 every time he levels up, much the same as how some people keep changing majors while in school... but I don't think my fellow players would smile on that. ;)

I did this in the Living Greyhawk campaign. Because of the way games are played, grouping characters together by Average Party Level, a character would not usually "fall behind" the rest of the party.

Bright Lands Gnome
1: Sandstorm Sorcerer 1
2: Warmage 1
3: Favored Soul 1
4: Druid 1
5: Cleric 1 (I got the character this far)
6: Wizard 1
7: Druid 2
8: Druid 3 (and a 100% XP penalty)

So he'd stop advancing at level 8, but he'd still collect gold and magic every adventure. He could cast a LOT of low-level spells, which is just fine for a low-level adventure. And he'd have one heck of a Will save.

But, alas, the campaign rules changed recently so this "capstone" build was no longer viable. I'm rebuilding him now.
