# of attacks...while Shapechanged

The way I read the Tome & Blood version of Polymorph Other is that a fighter with 2 attacks per round that was polymorphed into a bear could only use 2 of the 3 bear attacks. Is this correct? What bonuses/penalties would be at?

Let's take a 6th level fighter (BAB +6/+1) who doesn't have ambidexterity or two weapon fighting. If he was polymorphed into a brown bear (27Str, 2 claws +14, 1 bite +9). What attacks could he make using a full attack action?

From T&B:
A body with extra limbs does not allow a character to make more attacks (or more advantageous two-weapon attacks) than normal.

Poly. Other is a very ambiguous spell (not surprisingly, with the slew of errataed versions for it), so there's a lot of argument about it. That being said, here's my take on it:

The fighter in your example would attack just as the brown bear would, using the new Str (27) score and his own BAB (6), with negatives for size (-1) and the secondary attack (bite). So his attack sequence would be - 2 claws +13, bite +8.

Polymorph gives you the physical attack type of the creature not the "attack routine".

The fighter would use his normal BAB and can take the appropriate penalties to use a secondary attack as an off-hand weapon.

Wildshape gives you the attack routine regardless of BAB.

I pretty sure this is correct, but is it listed anywhere on a FAQ or Errata?

Bump.

Anyone know where a ruling can be found reguarding Polymorph/Shapechange getting the attack routine of the new form?
