A few weeks earlier I posted that I was visiting my mother for the last time, as she only had a short time left before she was overtaken by skin cancer.

I did in fact visit her last november for one week and had a very nice visit.

Just yesterday, she passed away at age 56.

Thanks to everyone who offered kind words in the previous thread.

I'm dealing with it OK for now, I don't think it's really hit me in full force yet. Probably because I'm so far from home (though i've called of course).

Little things come up. I'll have to take my Mom's email address off of the computer. Probably won't have to heart to do it though.
