Hmm 1 GB. Need to clear my space on my iPad. Had to delete Infinity Blade, Puzzle Quest(!) and others if I want to install this.

Those who've tried it, what do they think?

I played through the tutorial and first match in the campaign mode so far.

It reminded me of other online versions on Magic I have played.

The user interface took a little getting used to but seems like its set up well for the timing of the game once you understand it.

I haven't decided if I'll drop the 9.99 for the full version or not.

A few down sides are: its listed as Magic 2013 in iTunes, has a logo I didn't recognize and doesn't come up in a search for Magic the Gathering. I had to go back to the article from the second post to get the name. This just seems like bad marketing to me. You could lose all the people that used to play and will pass right by it because they don't recognize it for what it really is.

So I did a little looking around.

I Googled images for "Magic the Gathering" in 15 pages I didn't see one example of the image they used for iTunes.

I then Googled images for "Magic 2013" and found one image on page 3 that is similar but hard to see because of text, and then found the image on page 4 of the search.

Lastly a quick search for "Duels of the Planeswalkers" since thats the name they have used for several of the online products. No sign of the image in 19 pages of pictures.

I know this does not impact the quality of the game, it just struck me as odd an another example of WotC's challenges in the world of electronic formats for its games.
