Wizkids has announced a set of 49 official Dragonlance prepainted plastic miniatures. You can pre-order them now for an early 2023 release.

Man, we’re really ramped up on branded minis the past few years—all of it WizKids, I think. My LGS is liquidating some boardgames for more room for minis shelving. I assume they must be selling well! But damn, it’s huge for something that’s kinda peripheral to the actual game…

Peripheral for some yes, but I've been playing D&D for decades using miniatures for combat encounters, so I'm all for more minis.

I understand. Personally I get frustrated if I don’t get enough use out of my minis—they just become wasted plastic.

No judgement on anyone who loves minis, but I think there’s a real addiction possible with minis (speaking from experience) and so I urge caution. I also think the world has enough wasted plastic. Ah well.
