OGL Ancients anyone?

Just curious if anyone has picked it up yet and what their impressions are. I have TESTAMENT, but am always interested in well-done bronze/iron age stuff.

On the first count, I can't help but agree

On the second count, all I can say is "OOoooooo! Me Want!"

Necromancer Games' Mesopotamia should also be good as well.

Trojan War? That definitely sounds like a possible pick up.

I'm much more likely to trust the Trojan War than I am Ancients. Mongoose has traditionally had a lot of low-quality art (although some has been better), and some poor editing. Nonetheless, they have a lot of products on a lot of subjects, and I can't deny that I've picked up more than a few, despite their faults.

One of my friends bought this, FR Player's Guide and a few others. He's enjoying it and is thinking of adapting some of the rules to his SL for a 'grim & gritty' style. Haven't looked it over yet myself so I couldn't help you there.
