One other fun fact I forgot to mention. Our party had just come out of a big fight against Dopplegangers. The other ranger in the party (I have 2 levels of Barb, and 3 levels of an adjusted MC ranger) has Favored Enemy: Shapeshifter. Heh. He'll love the news.

I was hoping that I could make will saves to resist an Alignment change during a voluntary shapeshift; as a Forsaker, my saves are through the roof. Besides, I don't think he would allow magic to be cast upon him; of course this means the party members have to hogtie him and knock him out to get him to a church.
So unless the party intervienes, he'll have to roll with it. Of course, he'll buy masterwork manticles for the full moon and see if he can cope with it. Unfortunately, this will be after a few times of turning into a wolf. Sigh.
As for the magical nature of the disease, he doesn't have to forsake supernatural abilities, yeah? Just magical items and spell-like stuff. We'll see how it goes, should be interesting. For the moment, I see him taking ranks in Control Shape.
