Oh no! A nymph!!! Run!

Carpe DM

First Post
I'm drafting a new far-northern campaign; one of the primary sets of enemies are the Fey, who (in this setting) are Soulless: completely evil and destructive enemies of humanity, child-stealers, soul-suckers, and all-around *not* nice people. Time to break out the cold iron, and get righteous.

That said, I really do try to keep my adaptations within the rules if at all possible.

One thought I had: the Nymph has the spell powers of a 7th level druid. What's the nastiest combat combination one can think of that uses those powers?

best,

Carpe

Round -1: Snare
Round 0: Summon Nature's Ally a Dire Boar.
Round 1: Flame Strike

Remember, keep a Longstrider spell active so you can stay mobile, and don't hesitate to hurl Call Lightning and Produce Flame from a distance if possible. You're delicate - keep your distance and keep a wall of animal minions between you and your prey.

Spell combos very handy to use:
Tree shape + call lightning: find a good vantage point and rain destruction.

Freedom of Movement + Briarweb/entagle: attack with impunity.

Dispel Magic: debuffing == good

And get some paladin levels :D
My wife is currently playing a half-Dryad Paladin in our home campaign. She also has a Unicorn mount. She thought all this was pretty cool until she found out what it meant when adventuring in THAY. :]

Back on topic, Paladin seems a little stretch for a full-blooded Nymph. Maybe some extra Druid levels?

The poison spell is particularly nasty (1d10 Con, possibly 2d10 Con). Add contagion to the mix and the druid can really hurt someone, especially if that someone has rotten Fort saves.

Add the giant vermin spell and this same poor soul with the bad Fort save could be in real trouble.

Slightly off topic. If some of your evil fey are more inclined to melee then a pile of them with rogue and hexblade levels would be a very scarey hit and run team. Great compliment to the spellcasters.

You should pick up a copy of The Valley of Frozen Tears. See review here

Limits the rules additions, and includes some nasty fey. I think it would fit your campaign idea nicely.
