Ohio-It's not just cows and cornfields

I began to wonder, after reading the Boston thread, how many people here are from Ohio and what city are you from or near? This is not a “Gamer Looking for Gamer” post. I’m just curious how many of you are out there.

I went to college at the University of Dayton. Which is almost, but not quite, as prestigious as Harvard.

Go Flyers!

You know what I like most about Ohio? 97X has a web broadcast. I also like how the Dave & Busters outside of Cincinatti has Mechwarrior pods. They don't have those at the D&B in Rockville.

North East side of Columbus myself. This is a great gaming community. I know of at least 4 different gaming stores, not to mention the big retailers that carry some books. With OSU near there are always games to be found with the college crowd. They have a gaming club there that meets Saturdays. I think Columbus by Night is still happening, though I haven't heard anything about it in years. That the White Wolf LARP. Currently, I have a nice group of five guys. I know other gamers that are around as well. Ohio was never just cows and cornfield, we have soyfields, also. :D

I suppose I should have stated where I'm from in the beginning of the thread. I am here just north of Dayton in a community that claims to be the largest community of brick homes. Don't you wish your city was that famous?

UD Grad?

Very nice school - I still look forward to getting a job working at the university for the free tuition.

Instead, I just live in Dayton, though I work just north of Cincinnati.

You mentioned cows - so of course I have to pop in to say i'm not from Ohio - but its a fun place to visit! Sort of like Las Vegas for cows :D

Well, I'm in the area too, but nowhere near the rest of the posters... I'm West of Cleveland by about an hour or so.

..and there's definately cows here!
