Ohio-It's not just cows and cornfields

Gaming in great near OSU. Session Running Late then time for some Cluck-U chicken of Catfish Biff's Pizza! also works wonders on those late night Quantum Mechanics crams sessions.

I live in Powell, just northwest of Columbus. I'm actually enrolled at OSU! The gaming stores around here are great. I keep telling myself I should check out Origins since it's only 20 minutes away. Maybe I'll go this year . . .

Origins is great, but don't forget about Marcon. It's Memorial weekend at the Convention center downtown. It's not just gaming, it has sci-fi and fantasy stuff (books and movies especially), anime, LARP, costumes, anything that is related to sci-fi and fantasy. I've worked Marcon for the past two years and have been going to it for much longer, it's the best convention in central Ohio.

I live in northeast Columbus, and an OSU grad twice over. Have gone to Origins each year, and Marcon sometimes.

I'm orginally from Mansfield, about 75 miles north of Columbus. I once dated a girl who lived in a trailer park in Amish country. Lots of cornfields there!

I lived about half an hour west of Cleveland until 7th grade, but I've bounced around a lot since then. And after spending the first 25 years of my life in the rust belt or the northeast, I just moved to San Diego last summer.

Well, I'm in the area too, but nowhere near the rest of the posters... I'm West of Cleveland by about an hour or so.

..and there's definately cows here!

Elyria an hour west of Cleveland? I'm just to the east of Elyria, and It takes maybe 25 minutes for me to hit downtown.

By the way, I say Cleveland is where I'm from because whoever heard of North Ridgeville?

There are only 5 things in Ohio:

1) Cincinatti
2) Columbus
3) Cleveland
4) Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (the rest of Dayton doesn't count. ;) )
5) Cows & Cornfields. :p

I spent twenty-odd years in South Point, the southernmost city in Ohio (right at the tri-state for OH/WV/KY border).
