Ok Australia. This makes up for the Crocodile Hunter.

I can't believe you guys don't like the Crocodile Hunter. Sure, he talks with a really corny accent (to most American ears) that seems like he -must- be exaggerating, but just think about it...

Weird man with tons of obscure knowledge about plants and animals runs around outdoors, harassing wild animals. Seems to have no concept of when to avoid dangerous beasts, instead heads straight for them. Brings along quieter wife, who also knows quite a bit about nature. Stubby little legs.

That's right, Steve Irwin is a mid-level dwarf ranger travelling with his druid wife. He's a bit of a powergamer, though, always going out of his way to grab some quick XPs by attacking the local wildlife. Thankfully, he roleplays (a little) by only attacking for subdual damage. Like all dwarf PCs, he speaks with an accent.

See? How can you not love this guy? :D

I love the Croc hunter!!!!

the guy is just amazing ... I keep wondering how his dog hasn't gotten eaten yet though ..

Despite supposed popular opinion, the Crocodile Hunter is actually quite popular. He is, in fact, the #1 TV show in local sports bars and nightclubs! Mainly because he's funny to watch while drunk, but also because you don't need the sound on to get a laugh out of him! :)

My wife and I watch him all the time, because he is a riot with his "Betties" and "Sheilas" and his "beauties", and it is fun to watch just how close he comes to getting mauled.

Feel free to call me a sick puppy now.

As for the teleportation, it's not really new. Austrian Scientists (yes, AUSTRIAN) did the exact same thing using quantum entaglement 5 years ago; these guys just did it more reliably.

It still won't change how I get my breakfast in the morning. However, quantum computers could actually help solve how to successfully teleport matter above the atomic level, which would be a fascinating case of using new technology to advance ITSELF.

Okay, there's something I'm not getting here...

"We have taken a beam of laser light ... and completely destroyed it and then made measurements of the destroyed laser beam and then took the measured results to the other side of the lab and reconstructed an exact replica of what we have destroyed," said Lam.

That's exactly like me typing up a phrase, memorizing it, then erasing it from my computer and going to type it on my friend's computer.

The success here seems to be in measuring and constructing a photon accurately, not in teleportation.

Edit : Nevermind, I think I get it now.
