OK, Who's Going to Gencon???

Origins instead?

Alas, me and my pals are going to Origins instead. We rotate every year between it and GenCon. Anyone else headed to Columbus? We can start our own little party, dammit!

I agree COMPLETELY! :)

I'd like to make that multiple games, too . . . but the head honcho is still concerned about sales figures, which means spending at least some time at the FDP booth.

::sigh::

;)

Well, will Of Sound Mind 2 and Dark Horror Toolkit
be out by GenCon? If so I'll buy 'em both (and more, besides), but only directly from you at the booth. That way, you'll be responsible for an increase in sales. Then the head honcho will have to let you game, at least a little bit.... ;)

Here's a question from someone who has never been to GenCon before:

How do you choose events? Which events are good? Just about every con game I saw that piqued my interest was sold out. Guess I'll stick to the seminars and pick-up games. (If I go; still undecided...)

I've been to 3 GenCons and have yet to play in an event. I end up spending all my time in the exhibitor's hall playing demos and talking to vendors, looking at art, in seminars, and in pickup games or games with friends. I also go to various free events, bar hop, and socialize with people.

Anyone who considers themselves a "gamer" should go at least once. (the more friends you bring, the more fun it is.)

And what's up with PCgen anyway? I've not been able to download it for a couple of weeks now.

it works i swear..PM me or email me bd_92@yahoo.com I will help you out whatever i can do to make sure you get pcgen to work!

FDPMike jumped the trigger on me, but I'll officially state that Both me and my wife will be attending GenCon for the first time, so you'll probable be able to catch up with us at the FDP booth or navigating the booth area.

Anyone interested in buying originals? If so, any favorites?

It's not a troll, I really didn't know what it was. I figured it was some kind of convention, I just didn't know exactly what. I'm Dutch you see, and I don't think we get this thing on our side of the Atlantic.

sorry, Im dutch and I knew ( im going next year). But there is a GenCon benelux every year so you could have known what Gencon is ( ist a much smaller venue though).

Besides "on this side of the atlantic"??? I go to about three conventions every year, what do you mean not on this side??

As far as GenCon moving to Indy--I can't wait. I work within walking distance of the convention center. It will be sweet to see klingons in the Slippery Noodle...

I heard San Diego, has this changed?

Everyone going: have fun , Maldur (steaming with jealousy)

Yep, I'm planning on spending a lot on artwork this year, since it's the last year I can commute to GenCon. Will you be selling at the FDP booth, or in the art gallery?

GenCon is definitely moving to Indianapolis next year (2003). I've never heard a rumor of San Diego being GenCon's new home.

San Diego is very nice, and home to the largest comic convention every year, though.
