We have a lot of threads about new media, but I don't remember a thread specifically about old media. Sure, old shows get mentioned every now and then, but a thread only about them?
Here goes...
I'm bringing this up because I just learned "Man From Atlantis" is available on disk and ordered it. I really enjoyed this show even when it went completely off the rails, in later episodes.
"Kolchak: The Night Stalker" - It started out as TV movies and then became a series, with that campy '70s comedy charm. Bought this on DVD, some years back, and it's due for a nother rewatch. Kolchak is an investigative reporter who bumbles his way into discovering Vampires, werewolves, aliens, you name it. Of course no one believes him.
"UFO" - Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, of "Thunderbirds" and "Captain Scarlet" fame, finally do live action. Some sets might look a little familiar, as they were cannibalized and later used in "Space: 1999." Quite notably, given the time, the cast was far from uniformly pasty in complexion.
That's just a few and I have many more gems from my childhood. What about y'all?
