In 2nd Edition TSR there was a game known as Top Secret S.I. which had espionage as ORION, the positive defense spies, versus THE WEB being negative villain accord and in military terms, terrorists.
In the superheroics of the game; the handbook F.R.E.E.Lancers was future setting of the term Metabilities and Leading Edge.
Leading Edge includes Robotics and Genetic Tailoring.
Not in Core Rules, a later Orion handbook mentions Johns Hopkins as forming a genetics program of foreign space based intrigue.
When the issue in a governmental regard is solved I offer (no clone war) we may prevent a problem known as my ethic resolve, which is to not have a genetic future as my thought of saving the planet.
I attribute these easter eggs to Jeff Grubb who is not available after TSR than I am aware of.
Thanks, but that's all.
