I love olives- all kinds, too.
But last year, I discovered a kind that was larger than most (bigger than large grapes), reddish in hue, and almost buttery in flavor. It was sold at a high-end liquor store near my house called Siegels. (I live in the Dallas/FW area.)
However, they stopped carrying them, ostensibly because they decided it was too expensive to import them any more. I protested- I'd have paid more for them- but there weren't enough others like me.
The problem is this: the person who knew what kind of olives they were no longer works there, meaning I can't search for them by name.
Anyone out there have a clue what kind of olives they are?
