[OMENRPG] Struggle for Dominance

Max goes quiet as he sits deep in thought reviewing what he knows about the stations systems and considers where he can find out more information, especially about the networks in the docking districts.

Motog

"Alright, you make your plans and I will be the "contingency" if the rest fails or you need someone specific removed from the equitation."

OOC: only +2, not +3. Just wanted to say that Motog isn't the guy for a subtle tactic.

"Fine, we lack of a faceman, but we could be able to get that done. I don't know your name, except for him" pointing Max, "and I don't want to know them. So whatever happen, we will be safer. I suggest you call me Shorty. Take the nick you wish, but take something that you can introduce in a mundane discussion."

"Very well, Shorty. You can call me Dune. It makes more sense among turtiks."

[Max has a pretty good grasp on getting into various computer networks, although currently he can't come up with a creative solution other than simply hacking. His largest concern, and somewhat the reason he is tripping up, is that certainly any sort of hack would more than likely be noticed, and therefore he and his team would have a very short trip to deathtown.

[The other solution of course is to simply hide or place cameras/surveillance equipment there, but such equipment can be expensive and easily noticeable to highly trained tech specialists such as Max.]

As Max ponders the solution, the cramped environment of Shorty's apartment begins to heat up, even to a somewhat comfortable level. The normally cold steel and plastic walls have been greatly warmed by all of your combined body heat and breath, as well as the residual heat still on you from the club.

[Everyone roll the highest of your Perception Skill, so Perceive/Insight/Intuit]

[Motog, you feel a slight slippery substance on your arms, back, and chest. You're not entirely sure what it is, and it might just be some moisture from these others in the room with you. In the heat, the slipperiness is becoming more apparent, and you can feel the material beginning to liquefy.]

[Max, you notice that on your clothes there is some kind of oil or grease, and a few particles of it drip down from your sleeve and on to your hand. You don't readily recognize it but it is somewhat odd and uncomfortable.]

[Nohome, you realize that in the heat of the confined space, the paint and sweat that was covering the bodies of all of the dancers in the club has wiped off on you and your companions, and you are immediately aware that if shown in the proper type of blacklights, you would all be glowing bright neon colors. This could definitely give you away to Dekt's men if you were trying to be inconspicuous.]

[Durkim, you feel over your rough dry flesh an uncomfortable moisture. As you don't sweat, you don't recognize the sensation as such, and it feels ultimately foreign. Under inspection, you can't quite tell what it is.]

The four of you continue to determine the best course of action as some level of realization crosses over Shorty's broad face. The lights in the room flicker somewhat as some of the power grids realign with a slight hum, and the temperature control system clicks on in this room having recognized the heat rising. Small drafts of cool air blow down from ventilation ducts up in the ceiling of the compact meeting space.

[Some other suggestions for the party, would you guys like to confront Dekt head on, try to be sneaky about it, or try to gather some more information? If you would like to gather more information, his territory is relatively obvious and it isn't unheard to simply walk into such an area. That being said, it is Lowapa's policy to typically not allow people to carry guns around unless you work for him, so the fact that you have some standard equipment might also be a factor. No guns or armaments are sold by Lowapa, and most guns and other weapons are typically confiscated by his henchmen.

[As an additional reminder, Lowapa suggested that Dekt's primary hang out is a neutral fighting arena called The Pit, and it is there that many of Dekt's lieutenants will also come and enjoy in the fighting. There might also be other useful information located there.

[Ultimately the decision is up to you guys, I've seen groups take this on in a number of very very different ways, one such group actually destroying the station in the process.]

OOC: Would our guns and other equipment less suspicious in the area around the Pit? Or wouldn't make it a difference. I generally prefer more elaborate plans that require more information, but Motog isn't the right one to do it.
