Yes. Yes, I can. "Maerit".

But I'll forgive you if you provide me the link to the Robin Laws "What kind of player are you" test you (and others) have apparently taken . . . you know, that powergamer/buttkicker/casualgamer/etc. stuff . . .

Hey pal, not my character. :D

I'm the Randian, and I really wish I knew where that quiz was, i got it from someone's sig here on ENWorld.

I once played a dwarf fighter/thief called Arkon Arsebiter. :D

No-one has brought up the strain of elf names that sound like new age hippies. You know the type: Rhododendron Silverleaf and that sort of thing. Mmm. A name for my next character, methinks.

ANd how about Gnome names? An NPC IMC is named Bunty Sparklegems. I'm almost ashamed.

While we're at it, have you ever noticed how many Dwarven names include things like "Axe", "Beard", "Stone" and "Hammer"? It's as if Dwarves name themselves after their own racial stereotypes.

"Well met, adventurer. I am the Dwarven Blacksmith, Axebeard Stonehammer."

C'mon. I'm sure we've all heard that one before.

And let us not forget this true-to-life offender: Flint Fireforge. That's right, he's named after a type of stone, a blacksmithing implement and something that said implement contains.

Go ahead and try coming up with some of your own! I'll get you started:

:D
Well, thank goodness I avoided all those dwarven racial tropes.

-Thornir Alekeg ...oh...maybe not. :uhoh:

This thread has inspired me to name a PC Faeyr'eor'szti'iyr. It's still mising something, though. Could someone recommend several diacritics?

Ogoneks. Can't go wrong with ogoneks:

Fąeyr'ęor'szti'iyr

Come to think of it, it could do with looking a bit more Welsh:

Ffąeyr'ęor'szti'iŷrydd
