On the Ship

Final OOC installment...
Edit: I was unaware that the Jamila was Alistra's ship. Nobody mentioned it in the session and I was only recently informed by e-mail. Obviously I wouldn't have done all of this (even the burning) had I known this information. Obviously this is a very big pie on my face situation, and I can't begin to explain. I made a mistake and would take it back if I could. I brought a recent loss in my family with me into the first post on this matter which I know is a second mistake, but I honestly did not do it purposefully.

Apologies if anybody took the things I said to heart. I tend to misspeak my intentions when I get frustrated and I didn't mean anything by percieved criticisms. I was only trying to explain my thinking and doing it very poorly. I am sorry.

ooc: I'm sorry I've been silent. I've just now been able to finally read all the posts. I'm in the process of building a house and moving. We just finished the house and need to be moved out of the old one by wednesday night. I've been crazy crazy busy.

IC: I'm sorry milady, but I was thrown from my bunk during the storm last night and was incapacitated for the past day. I'm sorry if we've caused you any problems. I would be glad to give up my share of the loot as a small payment to the damage and time we've caused you.

Eisinrhyr remains silent while the others debate, showing little interest in it as he picks at his fingernails and straightens out his clothes. Finally, after the barbarian has stormed from the room, he looks up and speaks without emotion, "I did not set the ship aflame, but when it was mentioned by the barbarian, I put up no show of protest. I did not see it as likely that you would remain here to fix it, if such a thing is even possible. And if you had planned to return at a later time, I thought it more than likely our 'stalwart crew' (he sneers with contempt) who abandoned us to our fate, would be likely to return in our absense and take advantage of the wreck."

"I know little of the ways of the sea. In truth, I am not greatly concerned with the cargo you now claim from the ship, as it was never mine to begin with. Except, perhaps, for the time in between the crew's abandonment, and our wreck."

"If you decide to toss the barbarian overboard, I dare say it would be worth another ten percent." Eisinrhyr smirks with amusement.

(( Someone please send me email at: DMEntropy AT Adelphia DOT Net
As far as I can tell, my email program and server are working since I received messages from myself and from Tech Support at Adelphia.))

Non-Game: I've been getting your emails and sending those back that you requested (as have others).

Game: I'm going to minimize my posting above to clean up our unappropriate non-roleplaying (Including this when I think you have seen it).

"Well Lady Karnom... I'll be teaching those who you wish taught.. a lesson... a lesson of the seas and ships and the wind and sailors. (he leaves out fishing!) To be completely honest, I'd hazard a guess that one of your own men would have more to teach than I, but then again they are busy sailing the ship and wouldn't have very much time for such things. I'll be a doin' unless you say otherwise."

He begs his leave and then states to the others.

"When Lady Karnom is thru with you. Whatever thru may be... your first lesson will be be meet me on the Foredeck on the Starboard side. When you find me... you'll know the difference between Starboard and Port and you'll know the difference between the Aft of a ship and the Fore of a ship. Whether you know your left and from your right won't help you much, but if you know your arse from your forehead, you'll find me right away."

Ezieer actually goes below deck and dissapears. (He intends to lead the fellows astray and sneak to his position.)

((Note: I intend to roleplay this out in as much detail as you may wish. I don't know how much energy the DM wants to put into this, but if the DM doesn't respond by each evening I will do so in his place unless told otherwise. You can be as quick or slow as you want, but conclude your business with Lady Karnom first.))

After seeing the others leave, Richard Darithon meekly asks for an audience with the Lady.

"Lady Karnom, you must forgive my outburst. I have been trapped at sea for the past week with only imminent death on my mind. I was unaware that you hold the writ for the Jamila. I was only told to get aboard, and thought that the captain of the doomed voyage was the owner. I apologize for my ignorance of the facts and for my harsh words. As for the fire, I had discussed the idea openly with my companions and did not act on it until the last moment. If any had mentioned for me to not do so you can trust that I would have."

"Once again I beg your forgiveness for my hot-headedness. We have a saying in the north: 'The winter is cold, but the flame in the hearts of the Argosseans could melt all the ice in the world.' My internal fire was burning out of control due to my betrayal and before it cooled I spoke out of turn. You can believe me that it will not happen again, and I offer my share of the loot and my willing service upon your vessel"

Richard bows humbly and waits to be dismissed at which time he will go out and inform Ezieer of his skills (direction sense, weather prediction, food prepration, water creation, and other druid stuff) and get an assignment (if he's still aboard).

((Entropy, I've been sending you e-mails a lot too. I'm not sure if you're getting them, but there were two that you said you did not. Also, I edited OOC stuff off of the boards. I didn't intend to take away from the game. Was just replying here first instead of sending e-mails. My posts are cleared up though.))

Ezieer finishes his lessons in seamanship, etc. for those that wanted too shake off stink of landlubber on them (and weren't under lock and key.

Afterwards, the group has a few meetings with Lady Karnom and other ships personel.

The new folks finish telling the abandoned on the Jamilia story.
The new folks indicated they were on a treasure finding mission somewhere on an island called Dead Island.
Tirem gets dropped off at his new home, a forced labor camp/mine offering two choices in life... a shovel or a pick. A decision that will last him the rest of his life.
Azeem finds out that his quill is somewhat magical and Tirem's guilt is proven beyond a magical doubt.
The old and the new bond over fine wine and nuts. At her request, they agree to solve a local beast issue on the island. Ezieer hopes this will score hero points with scantily clad native island women.
