Once had, no longer wanted

work
responsibility
free time- it gets boring
fat- I was bony in HS (100 lbs) and wished I were fatter- bad move. Now I wish i were skinny again. I think age will take care of that for me...
single- when youhave a GF, you want freedom, when you are - you wished you had someone to hold....

a hill with green grass... not this one- that one over yonder...

;)

TM:
I didn't buy any tickets to see an R-rated movie until i had the ability to for like 7 months, and i bought them for someone else...go figure, lol
I had the same problem with being 21. My family goes to Vegas every once in a while and before I was 21, I loved to sit at the slot machines and play- petty cash- but it was fun. After i turned 21, i havent even seen Vegas- going on about three years now... go figure-

and the same goes for drinking. In the dorms, drinking was fun casue it was illegal. but afterwards- I felt it a waste of time and money- beer tastes bad (no offense to those who like the tase of beer) and i can get the same high from miniature paint sealer :D havent drank in years...about the same time i gave up gambling...;)

From being in the Canadian military, I yearned to be in combat - the real mccoy. Obviously watched to many war movies as a kid. Being in combat seemed cool and it was what I was trained to do.

The reality - Bosnia 1994 - Peacekeeping (more like Peacemaking)

Having been in a firefight with a Bosnian Serb security detachment that was protecting a sniper we were trying to get that was killing civilians, I can honestly say, it is one experience that I never care to go through again.

20 minutes of pure terror, maximum adrenaline, the complete confusion of battle and the very sudden realization of how mortal I was.
