Once Upon a Rheim (Erekose13 Judging)

OOC: I need actions from everyone. If you can give me more than a round out, that'd be good just in case. I'm open to contingancy plans. Oirhander takes 9.
Oirhandir cried out in pain, and drew his sword. The animal-beast-just what was this thing? snarled and snapped at him again as he tried to fend it off while reaching for his shield. "A wolf! A wolf!", he cried, desperately trying to get some respite.[sblock=Crunch: ]Oirhandir will draw his longsword (move action) and fight defensively while readying his shield (move action taken during standard action). The attack will be at -1, AC will be 18 before the shield is equipped, 20 after. The attack misses with a d20-1=8 anyway. Next round, if someone (anyone!) else can engage the thing, Oirhandir will withdraw and start considering his options for things like bardic music and healing. If not, he'll probably fight defensively for another round.[/sblock]

Round 1 Continued
Oirhandir misses badly as he spends more time straping on his shield than actualy swinging.

Those watching carefully see the creature seems to phase in and out of view a bit, and it's wolfishly goblin face bears a menacing grin.

Aiken....

Nodis, male human psion (shaper), AC 16, HP 21/21, PP 15/17

Nodis doesn't seem to awaken as quickly.

"Mhmmmnmnm... Five more minutes, please" mubles Nodis, rolling.

***

After being fully awake, Nodis curses the haze in his mind, sign of a lack of focus. when he sees the wolf-like creature rampaging, though, he starts concentrating with all his energy.

[sblock=ooc: ]Nodis starts creating Astral constructs II -spending 3 pp, with the Trip and Improved Natural attack menu options- as if there´s no tomorrow, without bothering even to get up. If they prove to be uneffective, he´ll look for a way to use his other powers: first Entangling Ectoplasm, then Cristal Shard, fully augmented, if it seems he has a good chance to hit with the ranged attack.

2ND-LEVEL ASTRAL CONSTRUCT Medium Construct; Hit Dice: 2d10+20 (31 hp); Initiative: +2; Speed: 40 ft. (8 squares); Armor Class: 18 (+2 Dex, +6 natural), touch 12, flat-footed 16; Base Attack/Grapple: +1/+4; Attack/ Full Attack: Slam +4 melee (1d8+4); Space/Reach: 5 ft./5 ft.; Special Attacks: Trip; Special Qualities: Construct traits, Darkvision 60 ft., low-light vision; Saves: Fort +0, Ref +2, Will +0 Abilities: Str 17, Dex 15, Con —, Int —, Wis 11, Cha 10 Skills: — Feats:Improved natural Attack (slam)

Trip (Ex): If the astral construct hits with a slam attack, it can attempt to trip the opponent as a free action without making a touch attack or provoking attacks of opportunity. If the attempt fails, the opponent cannot react to trip the astral construct.[/sblock]

OOC: If Aiken isn't around in about 24 hours, I'll NPC him to speed up the fight. Meanwhile, feel free to post your next actions ahead if time if you wish. Just because you're not next doesn't mean I can't do what you're looking for once you're up :)

What?!?!?! Aiken mubles a bit sees what is happening .. realises that isn't a dream and jump up.
"Attack!!" he states obviously and reaches for a dagger to throw.
ooc: he will repeat this next round keeping out of reach.

Lupic is a simple man. He will follow his instincts and move to engage the creature in a grapple. If he succeeds in this, next round he will move for a pin.

This round, therefore, he will get up and move to the creature. That would be his double move.

buzzard

Round 2 Cont
Lupic moves forward and engaged the creature, which looks oddly goblinish up close, dispite the wolf like features..

The creature tears at Oirhandir with it's claws and bite, rending him in a spray of blood as the bard falls.

OOC: Oirhandir takes 10 points of damage

Round 3
Nodis begins to manifest his Construct

Kali drags Oirhandir away from the reature, who is looking lustily at Oirhandir's body. She then tries to patch him up, and manages to stem the bleeding. (Lucky 18 on an unskilled check)

Oirhandir is breathing, barely.

Aiken moves up on the beast and attacks, unable to get a flank with Oirhandir falling. His attack misses however.

Lupic goes to grapple the creature, and manages to easily wrap the beast up in his arms, doing damage with his spikes and grapling ability. The creature howels in pain.

OOC: So end round 2, next round actions everyone. Oirhandir is at -9 but stable (Got lucky). It's taken some damage and is in a grapple.

OOC: Knew I should have dumped more points into that breathing skill...

OoC: Yikes! Avg. 12 points/round vs. AC20...NOT a lightweight!
