Once Upon a Rheim (Erekose13 Judging)

"Nice little town"
Aiken's little joke helped relieve Oirhandir's mood, and he hoped that it would take Nicol's mind off the ill-fortune that had befallen him last night. "Little?", chuckled the elf. "I've heard that it's larger than Orussus, and from here it appears that way to me."

"Seems smal because it´s still far away" says Nodis. "It´s taking us a lot or time to arrive there"
No sense of humor on that man Thinks Aiken as he lightly shakes his head.

As you get closer, the 50 foot high walls become much more apparent, and dusk is just setting as you get to the gate.

"Hold," calls a guard from the gate. "Who goes there and what is your business in Reim?"

Oirhandir rode forward so the guard could get a good look at him. "I am Oirhandir, and these are my companions", he replied. "I come bearing sad news for my friend, Lord Valdor, and to return his man, Nicol, to him."

"Oh, Lord Valdor? Good man. Welcome to Reim folks, hope you have a swell time," says the guard, who waves you in.

The city itself is huge, with tall buildings, stairs, ladders, and balconeys stretching across, sometimes obscuring the view of the sky. The streets still bustle with activity dispite the dusk hour, as pedlers and merchants try to sell wares, and well dressed nobles head off to wherever well dressed nobles go. There are men chained to carts pulling them, a few men riding horses through the town, and even a few beggers on the street. Indeed, this is a much different place than Orussus.

Oirhandir had travelled by land and by sea, to near and far, yet he had never seen a city quite so large and so...rich, as Rheim. The sights of the city were as meat and drink to the well-travlled elf.

He turned to the man riding behind him. "Nicol", he inquired, "you know this city well, and I do not. Can you direct me to the house of your Lord?"

"Shame we´re in a hurry, I´d like to explore this city" comments Nodis.
"Well, once we've dealt with Lord Vador's troubles, and I'm off to see my Scarlet, you may very well get your wish", replied Oirhandir. "I don't know if there'll be much for you to do at her family's plantation, so you might as well enjoy the sights and sounds of the city."
