One in a million?

The other two are from another Forgotten Realms series of books. I listed characters from different authors, as hopefully you would know of at least a few. I see you do. :)

I think Bombadil was CN because he was very independent, and was the only one of his kind I know of who simply abandoned his former status. He is clearly a Druid/Bard of some kind, though, so perhaps it is simply his love for the natural world that drew him to stay in Middle Earth.

Your character is very clearly Neutral, at least, and not Good or Evil. Your character is commited to friends and family, but will not risk herself for people she does not know, from what I gather of your description of her. She is bound to action by personal relationships and desires, rather than a desire to do Good, and she seems unwilling to take callous action to garner what she desires to have.

Enjoying killing other people is evil, though. Love of battle is different from love of killing. She may not kill out of hand, for no reason, or even for the simple pleasure of it, but the fact of the matter is she enjoys ending the life of other sentient beings, a clearly evil habit. I think one of the great conflicts of your character will be whether she is going to develop her personal relationships with other people, (assuming they're good) to the point where she shifts to Good, (as Han Solo did), or she will succumb to her more base pleasures and the demon within instead.

well, one problem i'm found so far, is convincing people that a "Usually Evil" character, such as a Fey'ri CAN become 'Good'.

My DM has said seek Wizards/EN world advice, as he's to lazy to do stuff other than make a campaign *for which were all happy*

Still, it raises the question whether bring a fey'ri/teifling/possessing some 'inherently evil' blood can mean that you 'CAN'T' become good...

e.g. what happens if you cast protection from evil on yourself? do you go 'Splat'?

Balors can cast Protection From Evil on themselves, and they'll be fine. In fact, given the Blood War, and evil spellcasters Planar Binding spells, I suspect they do so often.

Being a Fey'ri or Tiefling just means it's more natural for your character to follow the path of Evil than it is to follow the path of Good. It just feels more comfortable, I would think.

It's not at all impossible for characters like Fey'ri and Tieflings to be Neutral, or even Good. They possess fiendish blood, true, but they also possess blood of races from Prime worlds, and they are thus not born/created/spawned being naturally, completely evil. They do have a choice, it's simply the natural inclination to follow the path of evil, because of the fiendish blood.

Being CN certainly isn't very unusual, I would think, for a race that is Usually CE. As for convincing other people you're good, why bother? You are what you are, and since your character is Chaotic, I doubt she would really care what other people (who are not close to her, anyway) really thought of her.

There's a big difference between "Usually Evil" and "Always Evil".

Elves are "Usually Chaotic Good".

Devils are "Always Lawful Evil".

It's much, much easier to have a Lawful Evil elf than a Chaotic Good devil...

Usually means that over 50 % of the these creatures have the given alignment. It's on p.12, MM. It doesn't mean they cannot be good.

No, they can have any alignment. Races of Faerûn even mentions good tieflings, which are said to work hardest for it. And it tells of aasimars who were feared and despised by the common folk (as they definetly aren't human) and turned bitter and evil (and some dark deities love to corrupt aasimars).

And while RoF states that good fey'ri are unheard-of, it doesn't mean there aren't any.

well, so far i've decided upon starting as a Chaotic Neutral.

reason? shes chaotic by nature, but the evil of her own people stirred something within her that simply disgusted her.

Hopefully, through roleplaying, i might change my alignment, maybe first to Neutral, or possibly even straight to Chaotic Good * a odd goal of mine *. It's simply a believe someone cannot be one alignment if their surrounded by others of the complete opposite...but that doesn't mean they can't be a 'step' away...e.g. neutral evil, chaotic neutral.
and then, as i said, hopefully, chaotic good...

still...i'm finding difficulty in writing up a good background story...but thast simply becuase my logic is failing me, and it's 1:00am...

KaeYoss. I just read your suggestions for a character concept for greycastle, and I must say....hot damn! Very, very nice. Someone remind me to hit up K. the next time I need help with a character!

CN is only one step away from CG (on the moral axis: neutral versus good, while Neutral is actually two steps away: one on the ethnical axis (neutral versus chaotic) and one on the moral (good versus neutral).
