Ongoing damage and auras: do they stack?

You guys are sure those damage stack ? I mean, this part of the rule isn't clear anyway, but my common sense tells me it's way overpowered to add each aura damage !
Let say you're surrounded by 4 of these creatures... you'll take 40 dmg at the start of EACH of your turn (no save since it's not ongoing damage) !! It's INSANE!

You misunderstand, in this case he's not being affected by 2 auras causing 10 fire damage each, he is being affected by ongoing 10 fire damage, and an aura that causes 10 fire damage.

Damage from mutiple aura's does not stack as a general rule (chillborn zombies are an exception to the rule).

Two or more auras do not stack, unless otherwise noted (per the MM Glossary). However, if you're suffering ongoing damage and suffer aura damage from the same keyword, they absolutely stack. However, you'll want to account for them separately, especially if you have a measure of resistance.
