Back from dinner in Indy with law school girlfriends. Heading to the IC now to see if I can make sense of the action and get up a post for Dent. You people have been busy today!

Three pages in one day, on a Saturday.

...man, I don't know what to do. I'd really like to keep playing this, but I just cannot keep up with that. I really just can't. And coming back to the game after one weekend day and having to go through -three pages- is really demoralizing. I'm already only barely part of the game to start with.

So if I can't think of a good way to deal with this, then I'll have to bow out.

In this particular case Aridha was 'hiding' as an animal, so maybe it's not as bad, but...that won't always be the case. And even with just an animal to RP, it would have been nice to have some say in what Aridha did, and what...

Am I making sense at all? I can't even tell if I am. I just feel like I'm only playing 1 page out of three, missing a ton of stuff, and I wouldn't expect you to slow down for just me...so what's left?

If it's any consolation, I think they spent the majority of the day scheming and planning how to infiltrate the keep. Combat has only just now begun, and we are still on the surprise round. So there's plenty of time for Aridha to jump in. I feel you, though. I've been focused on work and real life friends for the last couple three days and it's been hard to keep up with the IC. Things flew so fast during the last combat that I made movement errors with Dent because I had no clue where the hell he was half the time. That's my fault for not monitoring the site more closely, but Thursdays and Fridays are always going to be tricky for me because those are my weekly court dates for my child support enforcement cases.

I dislike that my posts have tactical errors, but I flat-out don't have time or the multitasking focus to sit at my desk and pore over a PHB during my work day. A lot of days I chose between posting quickly and posting accurately, and that's not a happy choice! No big. I just hop in when I can. #adulting

Yeah. Maybe I'm overreacting. I just know me though, and I know that my weekends are often social days, which means I am often not on a lot. If I come back to a mountain of posts, and people are waiting on me, it makes the game stressful, and I start just not checking in because I know I'll have to climb that mountain if I do. And the longer I wait, the bigger the mountain gets, until I just quit anyway. :)

In this case, you're right...it turned out to be harmless.

I'm just...worried. And maybe jumping at shadows.

...speaking of which, I will just add that Aridha in spider form is pretty freaking deadly in a Darkness spell. We may want to borrow this strategy sometime. :)

Agreed that Aridha in spider form in magical darkness scares the crap out of Dent me. And now I'm doubly glad I had him move away from the darkened area. Because spiders.

Well the speed is generally my fault. I wanted to keep moving the game forward, as I'm focusing on this as a bit of a hack and slash, which is difficult in pbp. I'll hold to my original statement that I only "require" one post per day Monday through Thursday. I also know I won't be able to keep up this pace when life gets busier for me. I'm just hitting while all things are going well. It's late. I'll think about the subject more into tomorrow. For now I'll get IC updated to the point where we are just waiting on Thaliss action.

For what it's worth, Creamsteak, while the pace right now is fast, it won't always be. I'm ok with the clip things have been moving at (please don't let that negate Shayuri's discomfit, though) because I know that, over the long haul, the pace will vary. I don't think you're wrong to want to capitalize on a fast pace while you can.
